yeah, I wondered about this too!
I also see wet dogs climbing out of the Charles on a regular basis, and I wonder if their owners even saw the 4,000 signs warning about water toxicity, or if they saw them and didn't care.

The toxic slime is still there, judging from the bright green water under the Harvard Bridge yesterday.
I propose a new city slogan:
Boston - We're So Irish, the River's Always Green.
Or:
Boston - Where It Looks Like St. Patrick's Day Every Day.

Also, as of last night, there are still signs along the river near the Hatch Shell, warning people about the algae.
