Im hearing chatter from the State House about who will replace him as Speaker... I wont get into details because its all 3rd rate heresay (as in my sources are not reps, or even people that work for reps, but people who deal with people who work the reps lol, so the info cant be fully trusted) but honestly who wants to be Speaker of the Massachusetts House right now. It seems to come with power and lots of it for a while, until something happens and your defending yourself and you end up getting tossed out or prosecuted or something. This is not a fun state to be a top leader, Id much rather be a second or third level below the surface power player then the top dog. I wonder if our eagerness to slaughter whoever is in charge comes from a culture where there are barely any republicans and everyone is a Democrat so there is no need to be afraid during the next election cycle, I bet if this state was a little less lopsided our top leadership would be less likely to be charged with corruption etc (not only because they wouldnt be charged, but also because they wouldnt be engaging in those activities knowing the republicans were watching them.)
