Boston Police report arresting a Lynn man for a New Year's Eve robbery and stabbing in the Public Garden.
Joshua Enos, 21, of Lynn, was one of three men who attacked at least two other people in the Public Garden around 10 p.m. that night, first demanding money, then stabbing one of their victims, police say. The stabbed victim, who also was forced to withdraw money from a nearby ATM, was treated at a nearby hospital, police say.
Enos was arrested yesterday at Lynn District Court, on Boston charges of armed robbery, armed kidnapping with serious bodily injury and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, police say.
Innocent, etc.

is Boston more violent than NYC? Broad general question, yes, seeking a broad, general answer. Seems like this is a very fucked up town
Well...
...the perp was from the suburbs, so why are you asking?
Lynn is not a suburb in the traditional sense
It's more urban than suburban. Many 'suburbs' that border Boston are the same.
Suburban as in out of town
Why get hung up on the urban-suburban thing but gloss over the clear meaning here, that the guy wasn't from Boston.
Subordinate-and-Urban is
Subordinate-and-Urban is suburban. And Lynn is still subordinate to Boston.
Because it happened in the city
Why is this confusing?
Different as a
Man bites dog story!
Lynn
Is a city.
No, it's not.
What Boston and NYC deal with is a large influx of people like young adults starting a job, going to school, really people of all ages, who were not raised or have much experience lliving in a densely populated urban environment. Most come from suburbs and even semi-rural or rural areas. I'm not attempting to be smug by saying this. It's just a fact. Many on here complain about DTX and the 'scary' characters you may encounter; as someone who grew up and lived in both NYC and Boston when crime rates and urban decay were infinitely worse than they are in 2019, it's tame today compared to the1980s, 90s. Everyone has to realize cities are not amusement parks. Proper awareness and precautions, without outright paranoia, are necessary, to hopefully avoid things like getting jumped.
That’s cute and all
But not true. Boston crime rate is nearly 2x of NYC overall. Just the reality. ..I know your anecdotes and the decay and yada yada and well “if you add Somerville and Cambridge” whatever. Boston has a fairly serious crime issue. Point Blank Period, moving along...
Thanks BPD for catching this
Thanks BPD for catching this @sshole and getting him off ur streets!
im going
by where the crime was committed. so why are you asking why I was asking?
Scary! And this was on New
Scary! And this was on New Year's Eve, when lots of people were around.
I'd be interested to hear how the police identified the suspect.

You can sharpen the edge of your ATM card to a wicked keen edge*.
Get some edge weapon training and don't cut yourself getting cash!
But you will have the element of surprise, and get a blood sample, and mark the perp. Don't forget the sprint training, either.
