The pistol has a full-auto selector switch installed at the rear making it a machine gun.

When the criminals have more firepower than the police.

It is a shame when the criminals have more firepower than the police.

That upgrade is 14 cents of metal that any shop class kid can make. 14 cents that will get you 20 years if you sell it without the proper fed license. Normal Class III tax/transfer licensing does not cover them IIRC. Ownership is legal in most states. Ownership is legal in MA.

You may have noticed that the USA does not have a problem with automatic weapons. Criminals do not want to go to jail. Why risk decades of jail time for mere superior firepower that you never intended to use in the first place. Criminals carry guns to shoot other criminals in a pinch, not police. Shooting police is still frowned upon, luckily... although there seem to be a lot of clowns out there who want police disarmed.

Now, as for why that Glock in the original post had a full auto upgrade... most likely because it is way cool. The sound alone is so signature. There are tons of youtube videos with full auto Glock pistols and IMHO the 35 has an appealing sound. The 43 seems to be a fan favorite overall, but lacks a certain individuality in full auto.

There's no legal mechanism to modify any semi-auto firearm, to full auto. The NFA made all ownership of machine guns regulated and the 1986 "Firearm Owner's Protect Act" banned new machine guns from being allowed for sale in the USA.

Modifying a pistol to be fully automatic is illegal in all 50 states and against federal law.

I'll bet you 14 cents that not a single "shop class kid" in massachusetts knows how to do this. There's a reason gunsmithing is a skilled trade, requiring apprenticeship and licensing.

You write this on a day when we learn of yet another lethal school shooting. Students are not criminals, you idiot.

I have not, because we do have a problem with automatic weapons. Example:

Phillips and Matasareanu carried illegally modified fully automatic Norinco Type 56 S-1s (an AK-47 variant), a Bushmaster XM15 Dissipator with high-capacity drum magazine, and a Heckler & Koch HK-91 rifle, as well as a Beretta 92FS pistol.
. . .
... twelve police officers and eight civilians were injured, and numerous vehicles and other property were damaged or destroyed by the nearly 2,000 rounds of ammunition fired by the robbers and police.[

IMHO the 35 has an appealing sound.

Please seek professional help.
