It’s the suburbs that can’t support upscale restaurants. Burlington is hardly a destination- if the restaurant can’t survive on the lunch trade or expensed dinners, their days are numbered.
The sound you just heard?

I find the reporting on such items to be quite interesting. Watching the restaurant business tells one a lot about a local economy.
We care about the story, just not the restaurant

I think Ari meant that losing a Del Frisco's isn't like losing something important, like say a Dunkin Donuts.

I wonder how long the relatively new one at the Pru will last. I literally don't know anyone who has been there.

I tried the Pru outlet for lunch a few weeks ago. Sat at the bar, service was dis-interested at best, steak itself was a delicious prime strip, but the rest of the pieces, Caesar salad, steak sides and the cheesecake dessert were all marginal to poor. Most annoying was no single or half order options for sides ($13 for french fries, $16 for sauteed mushrooms) and in addition to that $40+ a la carte steak, they up-charged me $3 for a ramekin of Bearnaise sauce. That'll be my last visit.

They make a pretty good fake Big Mac if you keep the over sweet pickles on the side.

It's close the the Hynes, so they probably get a lot of business from convention/conference attendees with corporate expense accounts.
