Hey, Rozzie: Don't bring your trash back in

Wednesday is Prince Spaghetti Day trash day up on Grew Hill. Except, apparently, today, where the streets are still lined with trash barrels and bags. The Mayor's Hotline says they're running behind and whatever the crews don't get to tonight, they'll swing by tomorrow to pick up.

He'd better keep the streets clean, or he's outta thea!

Oh, wait...

Were those crews sent to West Roxbury instead maybe to cover up for not coming on Monday?

You guessed it.

I'm going out, won't be home until 4 or so. Dear Capitol Waste Management and Boston DPW and the Mayor's Help Line: Please don't forget us, or I'll, well, I'll, hmm, I guess I'll ...

Leave the trash out there and write a sternly worded blog post.

No, no Adam. Set the digital camera to "movie" and hold the camera out at arm's length. Give us a long-winded, rambling introduction, then walk outside, down your driveway, and describe the scene like we're imbeciles ("these are my trash cans. They're at the end of my driveway. They're full of trash".) A dramatic pause or two (also so that those who cannot "vlog" themsleves can easily get a screen shot to post on their "blog".) Give us a few closeups from a couple of inches away so we can see that they are, in fact, genuine trash cans.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you "vlog".

Brett FTW

The other option would be to give up & bring them in, as I did this morning with the recycle bin that was waiting to be picked up since Tuesday.

I report it every time they miss the pickup, just for fun. They don't come & get it after you report it.

(And I'm West Roxbury, but I must be on the wrong side of the tracks.)

trash + snow on the sidewalks forces me and the stroller out on the street which somehow brings out the best in Rozzie's drivers, oh happy day.

On Fairmount Hill in Hyde Park, our trash day was Monday. They never came, we left the barrels out. Thankfully they came yesterday. Looks like they're a few days behind.

Trash picked up today, phew.
