Ravenous reporter slides snack sled

WHDH's Steve Cooper always goes into snow battle prepared with snacks, but as Tim shows us tonight up in Andover, he seemed prepared for 2015-level snowfall: He pulled a sled loaded with Ding Dongs and Twinkies.

Entertainers
We've GOT to stop calling these people "reporters" and call them what they truly are, "entertainers". There's no reporting of news going on with these clowns.
Reminds me of
I think it was in 2015, there was a photo of one of the End Times scrambles at Market Basket with the check out lines packed with people stockpiling bread and milks. Amongst the fear there was one lone man calmly waiting in line with his arms full of boxes of Hostess snacks. I’ve tried to find the photo with no success.
Sounds like my father
He's type 1 diabetic and loves trash cakes ( go figure ) I can totally see him standing in line patiently in blissful anticipation.
Weather clowns, a term coined locally in the early 1980's
Back in the 1980's, when there were still paid, local TV critics in the Boston media, I believe it was the esteemed Terri Ann Knopf (still around) who coined the term "weather clowns" to describe the antics of TV reporters and meteorologists during storms. This was already an obvious problem 30-40 years ago, probably as a result of the only storm I have seen really cripple the area, the Blizzard of '78. Although no storm since has been as all-around devastating, the news media treats every snowfall since as on par. Cyclical climate change, the annual January thaw and light January snow are not news. It's silly but understandable since no stories that require lengthy research (state and city corruption) are covered until a press release is received from the prosecutor. Any weather event has become an easy story, nature's own press release with no risk of a slander suit or any pushback since Mother Nature doesn't litigate. As our Boston newspapers and news radio enter the final stages, it's time to wonder which of the five full-time Boston TV news stations will go first.

(also note: the 1978 storm wasn't the worst storm in history, but it was so incredibly damaging BECAUSE it was underreported and people/government failed to prepare!)

And while I agree that "the news media" does hype storms, it doesn't treat every storm on par. So, your truthful hyperbole is on par with bullshit.

I vote for WHDH
The local news needs to be thinned out, especially WHDH. If you know something is incorrect and then constantly repeat that without calling it out, you are not factual anymore, that's what WHDH has become.
If you know something is
It's what EVERY media outlet has become. They're all in a race to be first with the story, that they don't verify their sources. And when they're found to have reported incorrectly, they eschew retractions because Who Cares! Just move on to the next unverified story!
