Two from Revere charged with attacking women speaking Spanish in East Boston

Two Revere women face felony charges for allegedly beating and kicking a mother and daughter whom they heard speaking Spanish in Maverick Square on Feb. 15.

Jenny Leigh Ennamorati, 25, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of assault and battery, two felony counts of violating another's constitutional rights with bodily injury and one felony count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon - her shod foot, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Stephanie Armstrong, 25, is charged with two misdemeanor counts of assault and battery and two felony counts of violation of another's consitutional rights with bodily injury, the DA's office says.

According to the DA's office:

The victims and witnesses each allege that without provocation Ennamorati and Armstrong began shouting at the mother and daughter and then physically attacked them because they were laughing and speaking to each other in Spanish. ...

Both mother and daughter sought medical treatment. Ennamorati and Armstrong told officers they had been drinking and were behaving belligerently.
