So they had all these New Hampshire state legislators show up at the State House to protest tolls at the border. Lance explains why that makes them idiots - via a map that shows where New Hampshire has its own toll booths.

If NH doesnt want tolls on

If NH doesnt want tolls on our side of the road they should give us a cut of their tolls. I would assume most of their revenue comes from Massachusetts vacation goers, or NH commuters (along with MA shoppers etc) The point is the majority of the tolls comes from people coming or going to Massachusetts. These trips have real affects on our roads and economic development. It causes wear and tear on our roadways , pollution for the local communities and has lead to places like Methuen being unable to compete with the lack of sales tax and lower rents in NH, partially subsidized by the tolls they impose on people from our state. I for one am not a fan of new tolls at anytime but it is only fair if NH is leaching economic development from the north of our state, and then charging our residents a toll as well.
I second that!

While I definitely don't want to have to pay a toll going in AND out of NH, I am definitely 100% NOT interested in what a bunch of NH politicians have to say about it. In fact, if tolling New Hampshire commuters will eliminate tolls for our own residents (you know, the ones who actually pay MA state taxes) along the Pike then I'm all for it.
Highway Robbery

Those NH legislators make me sick. NH takes every opportunity to practice highway robbery with tolls AND liquor stores at the border. Even if you just want to pass through their hick state on your way to Maine you wait in traffic to pay a toll on 95.
Also, many years ago, they were one of the few, if not the only state to have a lottery (NH Sweepstakes) thats main purpose was to suck money out of out-of-staters.
That said, I wouldn't want Mass to have more tolls either.
