![The writing on the fence: All labor has dignity](https://universalhub.com/files/styles/main_image_-_bigger/public/images/2020/fencewriting.jpg)
Scott finds this two-panel statement on the fence over the turnpike on Boylston Street a welcome relief from the love locks that keep infesting the fence around the corner on Massachusetts Avenue.
I hope they let this remain up. A lot more worthwhile than combination locks!

It reminds me of the "welcome back" flags and posters that were put up on highway overpasses for returning veterans. The state was smart about it, they worked with people to make sure the signs were durable and fastened correctly so stuff wouldn't be dropping onto the roadway.

The same sign on the left is up near the board-up windows of the 7-11 in downtown crossing, corner of Arch and Summer.

It would also be great if all the litterers out there would make the sanitation workers' jobs easier by properly disposing nip bottles, hypodermic needles, cigarette butts, spilled sticky drinks, half-eaten food, rubber gloves, etc. And to take it even further, it would help the litterers stop doing what they are doing if there were more strategically placed trash barrels around the city and its neighborhoods!!

has a clue. refreshing.
despite all my ambivalence about basement joe, he has, in my opinion, one job in the debates: rhetorically rip from the stinking orange death pig its foul entrails, and hold them up for all to see. it should not be that hard to get trump to completely decompensate on national television. at this point, only a purification of that magnitude can save us. then, the slime trail clears, and the bloodthirsty and talented US attorneys of this country bare their teeth. may he rot in prison.
and then, woke kids, get ready to put some heavy pressure on basement Joe. every day.

Would that they'll happen but Trump will cancel and the media will paint it as both sides couldn't agree or something.

that he will respond to pressure, given he's already running to the right of Trump on foreign policy. The dude is a walking PAC receptacle

Glad the message board creator has finally realized all professions including sanitation workers should be respected. Were they raised by snobs?

are one of the best ad hoc street expressions in the city. I know it's a borrowed idea from Paris etc., but it's a lot more communal than the cutesy sanctimony like this that's passed off as art and is already everywhere too much anyway. (I'm looking at you Somerville and Jamaica Plain.)
PS: No more 40' Hallmark greeting cards on the Dewey Square mural space, please.
