BPD seeks IDs on numerous alleged Neiman-Marcus looters

Boston Police have released photos of numerous people captured on security cameras at Neiman-Marcus, 100 Huntington Ave., looting the place in the rampaging that took place on May 31 into June 1 following a peaceful protest march from Nubian Square to the Common.

It was reported that the front door to the store was smashed and multiple suspects entered illegally. The first floor was cleared out of merchandise and about half of the second floor.

Anybody with info can contact detectives at 617-343-4683 or the anonymous tip line by calling 800-494-TIPS or by texting TIP to CRIME (27463).

I think the looters should investigate themselves.

Hint: It's not downtown.

When you are in the suburbs, and going into a city where there are a lot of buildings, that is downtown.

But I'm not writing for people from the suburbs. I'm writing for people who know the difference between the Back Bay and downtown Boston (some of whom, yes, do live in the suburbs). So when I write "downtown" I mean a particular area that does not include the Pru.

These suspects are wanted for looting later in the night, after word got out (and on the news). The initial rampaging, in Downtown Crossing, was, in fact, started largely by whites.

There have been a lot of white people in other photo groups as well. This store just happened to be hit harder by non-whites.

It's beyond disgusting that some people have the gall to use political protests as an excuse to loot, riot, set fires and steal.

It is funny to think that the protests and riots are mutually exclusive.

There have been multiple daily protests throughout the region going on for nearly a month. How many riots have there been?

That's funny.

You realize they dealt "internally" with all their own kids first, right?

Where are the kids you speak of? The people in the photos look like adults to me. Citation please!!!

Wanting police brutality stopped is good.
Looting is bad. Let's hope they are caught.
