RIP and condolences to the family. His Globe profile a while back made him seem like a really solid fella.

...that was Little Mikey from the Life cereal commercials. Get your urban legends straight.

I knew him from when he was an officer at the Brooke Courthouse and the Land Court when it was temporarily located at 251 Causeway St. He was a friendly, happy-go-lucky guy and perfect for his job, which he did well, from what I could tell. My condolences to his family.

Anytime someone my age dies, especially someone as famous as this.

.

thats where that came from. i always wondered why my haitian family ate spaghetti on wednesdays.

I once heard about a friend of a friend who lived in the North End. If he didn't live exactly where they shot the commercial, it was close enough in appearance that tourists could occasionally be heard outside his window saying, "Honey, look! It's JUST like the Prince Spaghetti commercial!!!"

Seizing the opportunity he would hang out the window and yell, "Anothonyyyyy!"

"Did you hear that, honey!?, On my god, just like the commercial!"

Still yelling, "Get the f*ck hoooome!!!"

Does anybody have the ad from the 80s(?) where he was advertising some restaurant, and the tagline was "Hey Anthony! Where were you on Wednesday?" That always cracked me up.

Grazie!

God speed, Anthony.

This week, Wednesday will be Prince Spaghetti Day in my house.

Good on ya, Anthony. Rest in Pasta.

So sad he was a good friend of mine

I'm sorry for your loss. He seems like he was a decent guy.
