Harvard Square landlord who once filed RICO lawsuit against pot shop now supports one - in one of his buildings

Cambridge Day reports Raj Dhanda wants to lease some space in his Crimson Galleria mall building for a pot shop. Just three years ago, Dhanda sued over a proposed pot shop, which he accused - along with the city - of ruining his business and violating the federal anti-racketeering law. Dhanda now says he was misinformed; a "substantial payment" to settle the suit possibly helped.

Is it possible to license a dispensary that sells only edibles, and not anything smokeable? It seems like smoke from dope is the biggest problem people have.

Massachusetts regulates edibles to like 5mg THC per dose which even a novice would only moderately feel. There’s not enough demand for the type of edibles they make in MA. That’s why you don’t hear much about them and why they’re never sold out or fly off the shelves- you could never have a successful business in MA that way.

People don't smoke their weed at the dispensary...

they go around the corner, into the next buildings garage, someones back yard, the ally way half a block away, the closest park, the steps of buildings they don't even know anyone at.

But they don't sell paraphernalia with the weed, how is that possible?
Ohhh they 'gift' you one or the other when buying one. They didn't sell the papers of the vape thing it was FREE! How clever!

Nothing preventing someone from opening the bottle they just bought while standing out front, but somehow we still manage to get by with wine shops in nice neighborhoods.

I think it's different because vapors from a bottle of wine don't overwhelm an area the same way that secondhand smoke does.

people have bred it to stink more. It's not cool, its gross. Tobacco smoke doesn't have nearly the effect. I could smell the same weed stink from Clemente park to Peterborough street earlier today - thats 2 blocks!
