Update: 10:55 a.m. Man now in custody, being brought to a hospital for observation.
Update, 9:10 a.m. Stuart Street remains shut.
The person is on the 14th floor, which Emerson College rented to house students this year, but the campus newspaper reports he's not an Emerson student.
Police have been on scene since shortly after 4:30 p.m. The man has been busy disassembling the room and throwing things out the room's windows, including a mattress, a wall-mounted TV, chairs and the glass parts of the windows themselves. He smashed some items with a machete or large knife.

Damn. I got that way a lot when I used to smoke oolies in the 90s. This guy's brain clearly was super hijacked by too much shit causing the high to go from enjoyable to paranoid.
Any update?

2020, you are truly showing out!
Unconfirmed report

It was a former presidential candidate Michael Dukakis, who was so upset at the election results he tried to throw himself out the window but they were too high for him to reach.
He's since recovered and is regrouping for a 2024 presidential run with Willie Horton as his VP.
You just lost.

Get over it.

States need to keep counting. We can't just throw out the remaining votes because the candidate you prefer is in the lead! Wasn't that the whole point of the protest?
And lighten up Francis, it was a joke. If you're triggered by a Dukakis joke then you should probably insist on a ground floor hotel room.
Is this a joke? If so, it's

Is this a joke? If so, it's not funny.
If it's not a joke, I have more questions.

They aren't funny, just stupid.

to be celebrating an election win from over 3 decades ago. What's next, some posts about how ridiculous it is that the liberal media called it for Dewey over Truman?

Go find some other site on which to deal with your trauma over the election results.

Do you really think that anyone that cracks a Dukakis joke is automatically a Trump supporter? Last I checked there were still people with enough sense in the Commonwealth to vote on issues and not just be party toadies.
Seems strange you would ban a person for making a joke but the people suggesting vandalizing Trump's attorney's car parked in PO square are fine?
Maybe head your own advice and work on your "election trauma".

a Dukakis-Horton deep cut fully 32 years after it was a thing?
that'll show them you're in touch with today's generations and not at all very old, very white, and very bitter.

Throwing out the TV was honestly the smartest thing he could do given his state of mind. Large police presence there, and they are not rushing anything - hopefully, things wind up ok with just some minor property damage.
