Man stabbed to death outside Southampton Street shelter

Victim identified as Richard Ghiozzi, 33, of Medford.

Boston Police report a man was stabbed shortly before 7:30 p.m. at 115 Southampton St. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police say.

This is Boston's first murder in 2021. On July 31, Damien Hughes was stabbed to death in the same area. Four days later, Michael Dezrick was stabbed to death nearby on Massachusetts Avenue.
