Aporkalypse Now: Swine flu in Lowell
By adamg on Wed, 04/29/2009 - 10:28am
Channel 4, via AP, reports two Lowell kids back from Mexico have been diagnosed with swine flu. Both are doing well and never returned back to school after getting sick, so officials doubt they spread it to classmates.
The state has activated its emergency swine-flu line: Dial 211 for the 411 on your swine-flu questions.

Which I totally don't get, because it's not like this is supposed to be a good thing about pork.

It's the other white plague
But you certainly are unclean for seven days if you get it.
And let's not forget swan flu
On Monday, I linked to Jody's self diagnosis of swan flu. Ha, ha, very funny, she doesn't want to go to work after vacation week.
Apparently, lots of people are taking it seriously. My linky post got 574 page views on Monday, 1,300+ page views yesterday and is so far up to 500 or so today, mostly coming from people searching for "swan flu" on Google, which, for some reason, considers that little page the second most relevant resource on swan flu in the entire world (even though it's Jody who has it, not me).
Yeesh.
Maybe they can't spell?
Swan, swine, what difference?
