Egg-sandwich rage reported on Rte. 9
By adamg on Tue, 03/09/2021 - 11:19pm
The latest Rte. 9 rage report from the Swellesley Report involves a man who was trying to pass somebody on the right near the Wellesley Hills fire station, only that person gave the man the finger, so the man responded by throwing a bag containing an egg sandwich at the finger waver. He was cited for vandalism and littering.

WAIT! That would have been
WAIT! That would have been video of the decade if the Ragee caught the Ragor's breakfast and ate it thus turning road rage into sunshine and love and smiles and peace and happiness! Wow. Still envisioning that!
Was
One of them Howie Carr? Or is he in Florida these days?
Two schmucks
Don't get passed on the right, and if you're going to make that pass on the right, just put your head down and frickin' do it. You wouldn't have seen a bird if you hadn't looked.
Wouldn’t need to if people
Wouldn’t need to if people didn’t cruise on the left
You're
Making my point.
laws are cloudy
MA law spefically says that driving on the left is only to be used for passing so the person cruising on the left can be ticketed - the rest of the laws are based on this premise. But also found this
But the most important part of the Uniform Vehicle Code wording is the last part, "only under conditions permitting such movement in safety." Under this provision, you pass on the right at your own risk. If you succeed in doing it without anyone's crashing or having to take evasive action, you are within the law. Otherwise, you are at fault.
so passing on the right was allowed here with (2) lanes in the same direction and the person on the left (illegally) using the left lane not for passing
Really?
You never *need* to break the traffic laws.
Stop pretending that any of this has to do with anything other than your personal lack of self control and sense of entitlement.
But he did look.
And the bird eggs flew.
always lawyer up
this guys going away. hopefully for a very long time.
i wonder where he bought that eggamuffin that caused a dent?
Going away?
For littering? Not unless they put him on the Group W bench by mistake...
That wasn't a mistake.
It was also "creating a nuisance."
Absolutely correct
I agree completely, assuming that by "going away," you mean "continuing to drive his car without interruption or inconvenience."
Not as good as "Pizzagate" at Fenway
Nothing will ever top Remy doing play by play on the pizza toss... "HERE COMES THE PIZZA"
Massholes at their finest.
Massholes at their finest.
That's really gross.
Egg all over a car? Blech.
Passing on the right is not
Passing on the right is not per se illegal in MA. People really need to get over themselves.
Imagine being so unreasonably
Imagine being so unreasonably mad that you throw your breakfast at a stranger.
I'll say.
Always stick to throwing your eggnchz at those near and dear to you.
What did he gain
He lost his breakfast and got cited for the act, all for feeling good for one upping the guy who passed him. What a waste.
Confused
You're confused. It was the passer who lost his food and got cited. He was trying to pass the other guy AND one-up him. Or two-up him. Didn't get the last laugh.
it has to be a Dunkin sandwich right?
Someone tell me the sandwich was from Dunks. Just makes the story that much better.
To be fair, the use of a Dunks egg sandwich as a missile
is a better application of it than as food.
Saw the convertible driving by
I loaded up the slingshot, let one fly
He went for his to find he didn’t have one
Put him in check, correct, with my egg gun
Yeah that’s right, I’m the Egg Man, driving around
King of the town
Always got my windows rolled down
Ready to throw
You know, I’m the Egg Man
Oh, sure
Next, you'll tell us you are the walrus.
Maybe it was the same insecure driver...
... who followed me along Babcock St. in Brookline this morning to harass me because I hesitated to cross the crosswalk because he was too busy snarfing a muffin to keep his eyes on the road.
People are so brave when they are in a get away car.
near the Wellesley Hills fire
Um, probably not. I think there's more than one asshole driving around in eastern Mass.
