Always had a swarm of people
Always had a swarm of people around him at Clarke's when my coworkers drank after work in the 1980s. RIP MM. He loved people and people loved him!!
RIP Legend
Those of us of a certain age who grew up watching Hagler remember a supremely talented, tough and proud boxer from Brockton who never seemed to get quite the respect he deserved. He was a gentleman who rarely complained, was unfailingly modest and always put all he had into his profession. Take a few minutes and read his Wikipedia page. Legend.
And Went To Italy To Do Spaghetti Rambos

I will never forget watching him beat the living tar out of Alan Minter on tv and then watching the London fans in the crowd respond with beer bottles and vitriol that would make a Milwall fan blush.
The GOAT
I was 6th row ringside at the (real) Boston Garden, Veterans Day 1978 match v. Willie Warren.
MM did not disappoint.
When I worked nights (80s) on State Street and picking up Chinese food from Bogart's (across from Clarke's); saw him there many times, always impeccably dressed and very personable.
Sleep in Peace, you were Marvelous.
Rocky got a statue in Philly
Marvelous Marvin deserves one in either Boston or Brockton.
RIP Marvin
I already miss going to Celtics games and I'll miss times they would announce when he was in attendance and he'd stand up for a round of applause. RIP
