All of the Frozen Four teams this year were public universities.

All but UMass are in Minnesota.

Congrats!

There were no Massachusetts residents in the lineup for our state school.

I still remember when Minnesota-Twin Cities would only recruit in state players.

Is the fourth string goalie, whose entire biography is “economics major.” I mean, being 4 towns over from campus, there’s no way they’d know what he did while at Pope Francis.

You have to recruit outside of MA...

If your'e out there somewhere Pat, we still remember you as the best UMass Hockey player ever, back when the team practiced and played at Amherst College's rink in the early 1970s.

UMass hockey had a great program back in the early 70s, no program at all in the 80s and 90s until they built the Mullen Center. Then Toot and others started to build a new program and tonight all that history and effort resulted in an NCAA Championship.

Great night for UMass Hockey!!!

I was a student when the program started again.

I'm supposed to be happy for them, right? I can do that. At least it wasn't BU or BC, I suppose.

I was hoping beyond hope for this.

Congratulations to my alma mater UMass and to the Northeastern Women’s hockey team!

The Lady Badgers might have an issue with you crowning the Lady Huskies national champs.
