In Boston, police ready headquarters for protests after release of video of Chicago police officer shooting 13-year-old to death

Boston Police headquarters being surrounded by fencing

Jane Kokernak spotted BPD headquarters surrounded by fencing this afternoon, following the release of video of a Chicago seventh-grader getting shot in the chest after apparently complying with a police demand to drop a gun and raise his hands.

Police were heroes and the public loved them. Today they have to wear body armor and erect fences and barricades to protect themselves from the people they were sworn to protect.

... naive than you are now.

People can do good things and bad things. This isn’t that hard.

Like when they drove tanks through Somerville and marched families with children out of their homes at gunpoint trying to get the guy only to miss him completely and find out hours later that they were in the wrong neighborhood? That kind of heroes?

I mean, if you are going to whip it out and try to body slam the cops, at least get the town right.

The '89 BS was just a large media-covered item for something that happens all the time on a smaller scale here.

Buddy, it literally just came out that BPD has been protecting a known pedophile in their ranks.

How am I supposed to feel?

Who said anything about being scared? Being prepared is a virtue.

Any update on the cop who bragged about intentionally driving into protesters?

...who looted himself a nice new tie?
