Beer and wine return to the Greenway next month
The Rose Kennedy Greenway reports Trillium and City Winery will start serving their adult beverages along the lineal park next month, to parties of no more than six people, all of whom must also order food from a food truck along the Greenway.
Trillium will open its beer garden at High Street and Atlantic Avenue on May 20, serving its brews on Thursdays, 12 to 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, 20 to 10 p.m. and on Sundays, 12 to 6 p.m.
City Winery will open its combined wine/beer stand even earlier, on May 1 in Dewey Square across from South Station. In addition to its artisanal wine, they will also offer Harpoon beer, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 4 to 9 p.m, Saturdays, 1 to 9 p.m. and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Of course, what would artisanal wine and craft beer be without "fresh wraps, cheese boards and snack" to go with them?
The limitation on table sizes is to comply with state and city Covid-19 regulations.
The Greenway says it encourages would-be imbibers to make reservations in advance.
