Update: BFD reports the residents and firefighters were taken to the hospital as a precaution and that the chemical a resident brought to the fire station remains "unknown."
There's something in a house on Brook Street at Mt. Hope Street that's bad enough that the Boston Fire Department has brought in two decon units and nearby residents are being told to stay inside.
Three adults and one child from the house and two decon-unit firefighters were taken to a local hospital. The Canterbury Street fire station is also involved, and one of the decon units is there.

This was a weirdly underreported story in the Globe

What on earth would be shipped that would require this kind of treatment? Fentanyl comes to mind but there's no mention of the cops. That also wouldn't require neighbors to stay inside.

Do you happen to have saved a copy of it that you can post here?

My guess would normally be mixed cleaning agents, but "brought to the fire station" doesn't quite match that.
