State Police report arresting a Fall River man they say sped down down Day Boulevard, sometimes on the wrong side of the road, then drove into the Castle Island parking lot and then, unlike most people, kept driving on the path along the water until he finally stopped, got out and walked away, while engaged in a discussion with somebody on his phone, around 2:30 p.m.
Jovan Brown, 37, was promptly arrested and charged with 15 separate offenses, many of them related to his driving style, but also with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a police officer and reckless endangerment of children. Also, he was already wanted on a warrant and he doesn't have a license, State Police say.
Innocent, etc.

Every report like this lately seems to include, "had outstanding warrants". I'm all for appropriate police and CJ reform, but this is pointing to something (or several things) going wrong.

The fact that the report contains both "BROWN was able to be placed into custody without further incident" and "Assault and Battery on a Police Officer" would seem to indicate that it leaves out a lot of details.
Oh, wonderful!

The guy has no license, he was already wanted on a warrant, and now he's been arrested and charged with a whole bunch of other offenses! Wow! It figures! This guy needs to be taken off the roads because he's clearly a danger to other drivers, as well as children and other pedestrians.
