That area under the oppressive connecting bridge, or whatever it’s called, between the two Tufts buildings, is the dreariest creepiest place in all of Boston, in my opinion. An example of how architecture can crush spirits.
Wait you're serious?

Are you blaming architecure on potential assaults?
There is a concept of target hardening…

Making places safer with lighting, architecture, cameras, etc.
But this kidnapper is at fault here, not the alley.
No, silly.

The bigass bridge across Washington where there's consistent car/bike/bus/foot traffic going past?
That’s the only one I know of.

At 5:20 am and other times of the day it can be rather desolate. I dislike the place 24/7.
There's a smaller one a few streets east

Not really relevant, but it's there. Much smaller and higher up. It goes over Harvard St between Harrison Ave and Tyler St.
I actually didn't know about the big one over Washington until your post.
I know that one.

I think that one is pretty cool.
The nicest one I ever saw was a arched timber one in a tiny hilltop town near Benevento, Italy high up between two tall ancient stone houses on a steep sloping narrow street.
