Update, 10/14: Problems fixed and an inspector let the restaurant reopen.
Farrah's Cafe Restaurant, 1158 River St., which was shut on Sept. 23 for violations that included a leaky kitchen sink and live cockroaches in the basement, failed a re-inspection yesterday after an inspector found the sink still leaked and that the live roaches in the basement had been joined by live roaches in the kitchen.
The restaurant will remain shut until it fixes the problems and files a plan for continued "integrated pest management," according to inspection records.
