Man charged with hitting girl in the back of the head near Shawmut T stop, trying to drag her into some woods to rape her

Boston Police report arresting Naeem Patrick, 29, of Dorchester, for an attack on Sharp Street in Dorchester around 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
During the incident, the suspect approached a juvenile female victim from behind, striking her in the head with an unknown object before attempting to drag her towards a nearby wooded area.
Patrick was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to rape, police say, adding he was arrested Monday night.
Innocent, etc.

I hope she's ok. Besides the trauma, she likely has a concussion.
The report doesn't say how she escaped or whether people intervened to help her - would be good to know.

Wooded area?
Yikes! This is frightening, and horrible for the victim. But I am confused about what wooded area the report is referring to. The gardens on the the tunnel cap? The tall shrubs next to the Epiphany school? There are no woods anywhere near Shawmut Station.

Don't you know anything with more than 8 trees in an acre is the woods.
There used to be about 7,000 square feet worth of wetlands at the end of Pierce Avenue which was referred to as The Marsh. I have more than that in my backyard now.
The Epiphany School is a great example of a school that does well by kids. Works them hard. They hit the neighborhood originally with a raised well off suburban arrogance of that they were here to "save" the neighborhood. They pulled back from some poorly thought out social and building designs for the area and have filled in well over their 20+ years after original pushback from the people in the area who did not need saving.
