Sichuan Gourmet in Brookline is no more

Sichuan Gourmet in Brookline @ St. Marys announced on their website and front door they permanently closed on Jan 16th. They were a local favorite. The location had been a Chinese Restaurant for 40+ years with Sichuan Gourmet replacing the Chef Changs in 2010.
They join O'Leary's Pub and the Dunkin Donuts for locations giving up the ghost on that corner.

interesting that all tenants in that building are gone, including a Dunkin Donuts, which never seem to close.

This exemplifies everything that's wrong with Boston. Amazing family owned restaurant that's always packed and has incredible food closes down due to greedy landlords and overpriced rents. This city is for elites only.
