Screw a note. If they want to park there. Let them permanently, slash their tires. They’ll never pull that crap again.

Slash every tire on the street - after all, no way to know who genuinely stole the spot that you think you rightfully own and who is merely parked in a spot that could have been yours if you'd only gotten there faster.

Or even better yet, save up for a spot in a garage or a driveway if it's so fucking important to you to have a spot that is yours and only yours.

Hours?

Yes. It took me over two hours to shovel out my car on Sunday morning. It would have been a little faster if I had just tossed the snow into the street like a lot of people were doing, but instead I carried each shovelful about 30' to the nearest place where I could pile it without being in the way of sidewalks, other cars, hydrants, etc.

So "hours" is plausible, if you're being a responsible citizen about your shoveling.

That said, I hate the space-saver "rule" and would gladly see other neighborhoods follow in the footsteps of the South End.

This is my parking spot, there are many others like it, but this one is mine.

Go out at night with a bunch of signs like this (or even more threatening ones) and leave them on a bunch of random cars in your neighborhood and then record what happens the next morning when everyone sees them

I’ll leave one on your car that says you need your head examined. Ok, maybe you are joking but people would do that….so, bad joke.

Is correct. Any other response is just you pandering for attention.

So if there was a spot right across the street, what's the problem? As long as everyone has a place to park, the note-writer should be satisfied.

If every car is assigned a spot, and never stops anywhere else, we've instantly solved our parking and traffic problems. Of course you couldn't use your car to go anywhere, but that's not important.

So great that the city of Boston officially sanctions sociopathic behavior.
