Whiny covidbreathers threaten to sue after Somerville brewery tells them to take their unmasked business elsewhere

About a dozen freedum fighters barged into Aeronaut Brewery today without masks on and demanded service, only they were denied and then kicked out because Aeronaut requires customers to show proof of vaccination and now they are threatening to sue.

Benefits of the law suit: their names will be published. Then other restaurants can put them on a "do not serve" list.

Does anyone know who "organized" this "protest?" What do they call themselves?

I’m pretty sure it’s these bozos, but after awhile shrill victimization-obsessed losers all start to sound the same.

Unlike authentic grass roots, astroturf does not leave telltale marks.

I’d like to see their bank accounts drained in this utterly useless legal fight which they are guaranteed to lose.

I'm sure some lawyer who is a member of the bar in Massachusetts will represent them for the publicity if the ACLU declines to take on the case.

I'm sure they could find somebody, like the guy representing the anti-vaxxers who want to abolish the Boston Public Health Commission or the other guy who represented the two UMass students who didn't want to get their shots, lost, then took on the 200+ Mass General Brigham employees who don't want to get their shots.

But they're going to have to figure out a way around a clause in the ADA that lets places of public accommodation exclude people if to do so would keep them from operating safely. It's one thing to claim a disability based on, say, lack of mobility, quite another to claim you're being put upon because the owner of a brewery wants to protect his staff and other patrons from a potentially fatal disease that might be carried by people who refuse to get a shot.

...if the ACLU declines to take on the case

Just what is it that you think the ACLU does? It's not this.

If they do hire an attorney to represent them in a case that would inevitably raise more laughs than legal points then again who pays? My gut tells me these folks will not. If they don't then who is their bank?

Same for the group represented by the Lynnfield attorney who believes that Massachusetts gun laws violate the 2nd Amendment. Who is fronting the money?

For all the conspiratorial twaddle that floats about there may be some grain of truth. We know that Koch, Mercer, Trump's best Gay friend Theil, local home boy made Trump loving billionaire Sheldon, use their money to fund a political extremist local groups. So perhaps the folks who strive to create chaos in front of Mayor Wu's home are funded by the similar if not from the same source as these other medical anarchists.

As an aside, it strike me ironic that we might today actually have a kind of nation wide conspiracy to dominate the US, and weirdly beyond. In a bizarre twist there might be a kind of conspiracy to subvert democracies across the globe.

Rupert Murdoch controls a global information system going way beyond the Fake News of his US network. Putin makes clear that he values democracy the same way Hitler did. A vast campaign ultimately led the UK to separating itself from Europe becoming an island alone in a politically fraught world. East Europe is becoming another zone of democracies subverted into democratic fronts for dictators.

It takes money to run the propaganda campaigns that persuade people who have tasted some self-determination to willingly sacrifice that self rule for the supposed safety promised by dictators.

Maybe there is a near world wide conspiracy to create a New World Order 2.0. Not quite George Orwell's vision of 1984 but one that is a variation of that dystopia.

legal costs and damages (for waste of the brewery's time and resources) when they lose.

Most of us respect the rules and the rules don't threaten my freedom or health. The personalities of mask protesters usually like to make noise pollution, and don't know how to drink alcohol without getting in trouble.

How can they sue Aeronaut for obeying the local law?

It looks like they're upset about the vax requirement at the brewery since Somerville doesn't have one.

...of course, Aeronaut Brewing is not a public building run by the city of Somerville, so...

I would really like to patronize your business even though I consider your policies to be an affront to my personal liberties. Please let me give you my money or I will sue you into the ground.

These sorts of pissants think they are doing establishments a favor by placing an order and should be treated like VIPs in return.

No doubt they also think a 12% tip is generous.

I was in modern pastry at around 3 today. Everyone masked except for a group of about 5 adults (50s) behind me being loud. In a crowded place with kids and families, I turned and told them masks were required for service. The Karen told me they were from a Florida and didn’t have to wear masks. I tipped the chaser an extra $5 and said I was sorry some people,e didn’t care.

FWIW they were all white people, who insisted on saying “Can - o- lay”

We need to finish the border way - move it up about 600 miles.

...Aeronaut can make you show your vax card.

Don't like it? Go elsewhere.

Now I really should go visit - want to get some of that yuzu rice lager before it is gone. I loved the stuff I had at 10 Barrel in Oregon, but haven't seen it on the east coast except for Aeronaut.
