A TT carrying Bananas has rolled over on the exit ramp from Route 290 East to Exit 12 Auburn. Mass State Police are on scene along with MassDOT, Auburn Fire Dept.

No word on the size of the load, or if the driver was young, just out on his second job, or if he yelled "Christ! as his foot nudged the brakes to slow him down, but the pedal floored easy without a sound and he sideswiped nineteen neat-parked cars, clipped off 13 telephone poles, hit 2 houses, bruised 8 trees and Blue Crossed 7 people.

to be precise. He was merging onto the Long Island Expressway when the car he was driving suddenly lost power and was struck by the tractor-trailer.

He was on his way back into Manhattan to do a free benefit concert in Central Park when the accident happened.

My aunt lived in rural AZ and there is a bladed dirt road that goes over the mountains that an overloaded tractor trailer decided to use to avoid the weigh station on the highway on the Arizona New Mexico border. The turns were too tight and it tumbled down the side of the mountain and without the truck running the refrigeration the rotting cargo inspired her to rewrite this song as 30,000 pounds of meat to memorialize the event for their local Christmas show.
