Chinatown has just one public restroom, and residents say that stinks

The Scope reports that even that one restroom, in the BPL branch, is fairly unknown, so residents say people keep using the streets and alleys of the dense neighborhood as al-fresco restrooms.

It’s not like every other neighborhood has a plethora of potties. We need more in Chinatown and everywhere else, hopefully with safeguards to keep people from moving in.

As someone who has to pee about once every hour or two at the max, it is hard to walk around certain neighborhoods in this city. Basically Newbury Street, Copley and the Seaport are fine and everyplace else is hostile to small bladdered people, Chinatown, I just assume everyplace is not going to let you use the bathroom, even if they have one, and even if it's against the law ro serve food without letting the public use your restroom, I still assume some 100 year old owner of that run down building will just yell at me to leave.

Boston fails on public restrooms...always has. Same with garbage cans.
