Transit Police report arresting an East Boston man they say tried to smash his way into the Aquarium stop on the Blue Line with a chair after learning it was closed at 2:30 a.m. last Tuesday.
Because the T stopped running like 90 minutes earlier, the only way he would have gotten back to East Boston would have been to walk through the tunnel, but police arrived on scene before he could try that.

Between graffiti vandals and window smashers on subway cars and in stations combined with youths who toss fire extinguishers off the roof of suburban parking lots at Braintree and Quincy Adams the T has serious vandalism problems.
As I say on Twitter all the time...

Just an update for you. Breaking and entering, or attempted such, has been a crime for quite some time.
Have we truly come to the point where people act with such impunity that they no longer know that crimes are crimes? Frightening.
Because the T stopped running

I wonder if that was really his plan? I hope this goes to trial so we may find out.
