Man found in cardiac arrest in Northampton Street apartment last fall was actually stabbed in the heart, police say; suspect arrested

Boston Police report arresting a woman yesterday on charges she fatally stabbed Robert Lee Scott, 55, in an apartment at 155 Northampton St. in Roxbury last November.
Police say officers initially responded to a call about a man in cardiac arrest around 9:45 p.m. on Nov. 28. The state medical examiner's office ruled last Friday that Scott's death was a homicide, caused by "sharp force injury to the heart."
The BPD fugitive unit yesterday arrested Tanya Kelley, 57, on a charge of murder. She was arraigned yesterday in Boston Municipal Court.

EMTs might have failed
on this one
Stab wounds to the heart aren't an easy thing
There's only so much an EMT can do with such a stab wound. It's not like others where you can really pack the wound to stem the bleeding. They very well might have tried their best but it's not like this was an "ordinary" stab wound.

@ChrisF - the question isn't why didn't the EMTs save him, but how the hell did they not notice it was a bleeding stab wound rather than just "heart failure"?
Was he even stabbed?
I don't know what "sharp force injury to the heart" means, but could it be that force was exerted on the heart, like a punch or a strong hit with an object?

And to be fair, it's a confusing turn of events.
The title might be a bit confusing, but I'm also confused.
I'm guessing what happened is that emergency services were called out for a heart attack, but that what they found was a guy who'd been stabbed.
...rather than only realizing 5 months later that he'd been stabbed. But then why the delay in the medical examiner's pronouncement?
