Those school officials all look alike

A story on the front page of the Globe today about Tom Menino and the Boston Teachers Union has photos of Menino and a guy identified as union President Richard Stutman. Only, as an aficionado of Boston school issues noticed, the photo is actually of Michael Contompasis, former Boston Latin School headmaster and former acting superintendent.
That's not Stutman on the left, but that seems to be Menino on the right:

Wow, what similarities
Richard Stutman photo
Michael Contompasis photo
Contompasis was, I believe, promoted from acting (or interim) superintendent (c.2006) to superintendent (c.2007)... but I may be wrong.
Two middle-aged white guys with glasses
But notice how Contompasis wears glasses with thick frames, while Stutman is more of a wire-frame kinda guy.
I'm not sure that Contompasis ever actually got the title of "Superintendent," although he was certainly in charge of the system. He was supposed to be an interim superintendent between the time Payzant quit and some guy from Rochester started, and then the Rochester guy reneged on his Boston contract, so all of a sudden Contompasis got to stay acting superintendent a bit longer.
He showed up at the kidlet's school a couple of times when parents were trying (ultimately successfully) to get the school to go from K-5 to K-8. He seemed just the right amount of both open-minded and tough.
The correction
Here, also IDs him as a former superintendent, so maybe I was wrong (glass houses, anyone?).
