Lower Mills Star Market worker charged with stabbing colleague in fight over job shirking, DA says
A worker at the Star Market at 4 River St. in Lower Mills was charged with stabbing another worker - and pressing his thumbs into the man's eyes - in a fight around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Trevor Charlton, 47, of Hyde Park, was ordered held in lieu of $10,000 bail at his arraignment today in Dorchester Municipal Court, the DA's office says, adding Judge Lisa Ann Grant ordered him to stay away from both the victim and the store while his case is pending.
According to the DA's office, the victim told police that the fight started when co-workers accused him of not doing his work. They then jumped him. Charlton held back initially, but only so he could get a knife, the DA's office says.
Charlton admitted to police that he tackled the victim, got on top of him and pressed his thumbs into the victim’s eyes before co-workers broke up the fight. The store’s video footage shows Charlton grab a large knife and walk toward the victim before being stopped by another co-worker. The footage shows Charlton drop the knife, wait about a minute, then pick up a different object and rush toward the victim again.
Innocent, etc.

No guns were involved so this
No guns were involved so this doesn't fit the traditional meaning of "Going Postal". We are going to have to come up with a new term. How about "He/She went Full Deli on him" for workplace violence involving a large knife?
I make light of this because otherwise I would have to cry. Violence in all its forms is not something I condone. However, given the ongoing horrific events that have happened so far this year I do feel I am beginning to be desensitized to it.
