Another Massachusetts resident charged as Jan. 6 asshole; feds say he wanted to grab Pelosi by the hair and 'twirl her around'

A Fall River grocery-store owner was arrested today on felony and misdemeanor charges for his alleged role in the failed Jan. 6 coup at the Capitol.

FBI agents arrested Michael St. Pierre, 46, who lives in Swansea, a week after the US Attorney's office in Washington filed a complaint charging him with the felony offense of civil disorder and several misdemeanor charges, including destruction of government property; knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds and committing an act of physical violence in the Capitol grounds or buildings.

According to an affidavit by an FBI agent on the case, St. Pierre was among the hundreds of y'all quedaists who burst into the Capitol in a failed attempt to keep election-losing Donald Trump as president. The affidavit cites a livestream, since deleted, from St. Pierre's Facebook page, in which St. Pierre videoed himself outside the Capitol then panned to show other MAGAts, as he stated:

Hopefully, they'll bust through, and I'll join them to rush the Capitol, to grab Nancy Pelosi by the hair and fucking twirl her around.

The agent continued that open-source videos showed St. Pierre throwing something at Capitol doors, then, as Capitol Police officers behind the door fell back behind other doors, "several protesters, including St Pierre, throw objects at the doors that the officers were behind."

In another open-source video, ST PIERRE is encouraging rioters to enter the Capitol building through a megaphone, stating "We need everybody, let’s get in the Capitol."

The FBI says it was initially led to St. Pierre by posts on the Worcester-based Turtleboy site and that a Swansea police officer and an FBI agent interviewed him at his Swansea home just six days after the failed putsch. The affidavit states that St. Pierre admitted to being at the Capitol and that he threw a flagpole topper at a Capitol door as police stood behind it - an item he said another rioter handed him.

Neither the affidavit nor the US Attorney's office in Washington say why it took until today to arrest St. Pierre.
