I will not rehash my two previous comments on why the T's troubles are not the GM's fault (but if you are going to argue about this, please go back and read them before you do - I would link to them, but I don't know how - sorry.)
One thing that everyone needs to understand though is that the legal standard for Grabauskas to be fired - which has been reported as "gross negligence or gross misfeasance" - is nearly unattainable or insurmountable (depending on whether you are in the "can him" or "keep him" camp). Unless someone finds out that he has been using his office to steal money from the T or has been running a child prostitution ring out of his office, it is very doubtful that the T would prevail in the ensuing lawsuit. And by the way, the cost of that lawsuit would cost far more than the $200-300K that the T would need to buy him out of his contract.
So let's stop all the silly talk about Grabauskas, and let's focus on the real issue - coming up with a reliable and adequate funding stream for the T (impose a surcharge on real estate conveyances in the T's Service Area immediately!).

Why Patrick should give up on trying to force Grabauskas out
He's losing, for one thing.
