If you don't have a license, but where the (expletive) did this jerkoff need to be at 1 AM?
Any number of jobs will have you coming home or working at 1 am

People who work in restaurants or retail stores that close at 10 pm or later might be coming home after midnight.
Many big box stores do inventory overnight.
People who have the only car in their work network coming home after dropping someone off at their house after work.
People who work in hospitals, hotels, or police departments and did a few hours of overtime.

Doesn't ask a question without knowing the answer.
As Eddie Murphy said in 48 Hrs: "(Expletive), you're too (expletive) stupid to have a job."
