Dramatic trees at the Arboretum

These ones are at least alive

The contrasting trees are great. He's got the background trees silhouetted against the horizon and probably darkened the upper sky with a polarizing filter so the white birch bark really stands out. I haven't had much success with landscapes so I'm impressed by shots like this.
