Boston Animal Care and Control reported this afternoon that Fernando the wily brown and white Rozzie bull remains unfound, even after the city unleashed a thermal-imaging drone to try to find him.
However, city animal experts now say they know where the bull came from: Somewhere within city limits, with an owner who "was unaware that farm animals, with the exception of permitted chickens, are not allowed within the City of Boston," Animal Control says. If the four-legged steak is found, it will behoove the owner to find a new home for him.
The department says:
Despite multiple searches over the last several days, which included using a thermal drone, we have not been able to locate the cow, which is a bull.
In its first report on the animals, Animal Control had called it a cow, although Boston Police, who reported spotting the creature near the Flaming Grill on American Legion Highway Saturday morning, had said it was definitely a bull, so points to BPD for knowing bull when they see it.
A resident had spotted the bull Friday night along Hyde Park Avenue near Pagel Playground on the Roslindale/JP line. Animal Control reported a sighting at Stella and Harding roads in Roslindale, midway between Pagel Playground and Flaming Grill.

Because, well, you know: bulls have a reputation for turning up in such places.

Cattle are expensive. Maybe the owner hopes to resell the animal after the city catches it since the home-farm is clearly a bust either way.

By Starluna

If you adopted a goat from the MSPCA (which has an adoptathon for goats right now) for the sole purpose of keeping it as a pet and maybe lawn mower (goats are excellent landscapers), would that violate the city's ordinance?
But why?
