Put it on Charles Street in front of the VietAid Center. They're not the first immigrants to make a home in Dorchester, and won't be the last.

Charles St isn't a very visible location, Town Field is. And it's not like any memorial that goes in the park has to encompass everyone and everything, no memorial does that.

without a bronze Dapper O'Neil in there somewhere.

1. This is a great initiative and a beautiful design.

2. Dapper grew up in Roxbury and lived in Roslindale between the Square and the Pleasant Cafe. Why would something like this be put in Dot? If you are referring to Dapper's Dot Day racist tirade30 or so years ago, it showed how little he knew about Dot in the early 90's because he wasn't from there.

Over Dorchester Avenue should be repainted to ' Little Saigon' in honor of the Vietnamese refugees who fought bravely with our troops during the Vietnam war.

I like that design. It looks like a tree symbolizing the Vietnamese community taking root there.
