So don't click on any links in any messages allegedly from Universal Hub about your password expiring, because that's not how it works: I'm not sending out messages and the server assures me it hasn't achieved evil sentience.

A genuinely evil, or even curious, sentient server wouldn't be sending out those messages; it would be trying the combinations of username+password on sites with more valuable information, anything from credit card numbers to access to classified information.
