The Animal Rescue League is an admirable organization.
I have been bringing my pets to their veterinary clinic for several years now Not only because of the excellent care they get there, but because the fees help support the shelter and other services they provide.

I wonder why Fats the Cat gave up on getting back down? When I lived in Mattapan I saw a cat go straight to the top of a wooden telephone pole, stay up there for a few hours, then come back down without anyone calling anyone. Granted; I believe that particular cat was a stray but I am talking about a vertical pole climb here. Shouldn't a house cat be able to do the same with a nice angled tree trunk?
Only Fats can answer that question.

But will he? He’s an inscrutable cat, afterall.
