Tis the season - for French toast

French toast with syrup on a Christmas-tree plate

Rob Adams looked out his window this morning and knew just what to do: Make some festive French toast.

Amazingly, the French Toast gnomes had already prepared a boring, bland breakfast (cereal, if you can imagine) based on what they thought was a forecast calling for snow later in the day when they finally looked out their windows from their bunker high up along a mountain pass in Roslindale, so maybe tomorrow, if any of that 1 to 3 inches of snow the National Weather Service is still predicting sticks around.

confectioner's sugar on French Toast today.
Not a socked-in event. It's pretty on the shrubs.

I just busted my butt shoveling what began as confectioner's sugar on the French toast.
It is a full-blown French toast day. 4 slices.

Today's weather advisory from Wunderground:

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EST SATURDAY...
WHAT...Snow. Sow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches.

I see white stuff out there, but no pigs.

Four inches off my car about an hour ago, so at least for some of us, it's more than a dusting.

Trees look pretty. Roads don't.

The cold and the snow kept me in Friday and Saturday. I couldn't even go out for French Toast.
