Surveillance photos via BPD.
Boston Police report they are looking for a man they say stabbed a clerk in the stomach at O'Brien's Market and Deli, 1660 Dorchester Ave. in Dorchester, around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday.
The suspect, surveillance photos of whom BPD released, is described as Black, wearing a black jacket with a gray hood, black pants, brown boots,and a black winter hat with a tag on the top. He stabbed the employee just outside the store. The employee managed to get back inside before collapsing.
Not long after, an alarm began sounding at Boston Eyeworks, 1676 Dorchester Ave. when somebody threw a rock through one of its front windows.

A lot of people think they're better marksmen than they are, and sometimes they hit the wrong person.
I am thinking of the victim. Even if he didn't catch a stray bullet, shooting the attacker wouldn't get the EMTs there any faster.
