McSweeney's chronicles our state's unique road signs, although as Oom_rl notes, they missed the one inviting truck drivers onto Storrow Drive.

Very boostable.
It is on Mastodon
@universalhub posted it there
Hahahaha!
Perfect antidote to Monday morning blues.
I swear I've seen the first sign ...
In either Davis Square or in Roslindale where American Legion Highway meets Cummins Highway and Canterbury Street.
They forgot: ….
…. “first 5 drivers to come to a red light must proceed through the intersection at breakneck speed while furiously texting”.
another one
Hit a Pedestrian?
Still in a Hurry?
Too Busy to Remain at the Scene?
Remember to call the police within 72 hours so we can decide if it's worth sending someone out to interview you
“Too Busy or Too Intoxicated ….
… To Remain on the Scene?”
One of these is a Maine thing
"You can't get there from here" is a distrinctly Maine joke...doesn't really have anything to do with MA.
It has spread.
I first heard it in VT.
Ayuh
The line also needs to start with an "Ayuh" to get it right.
Also: Four-way stop
"Ignore and proceed directly into the intersection."
Sign seen online in 2015
In February 2015, when we constantly had major snowfalls to start our weeks, a picture was circulated on social media showing a "Welcome to Massachusetts" sign with the addition "closed Mondays".
Masschusetts is losing it's edge
This is an actual sign I saw in Colorado. I have no idea what it means.
“No Turn on Red ….
… Is Merely A Suggestion”.
All white signs are merely suggestions
Especially the speed limit ones.
Hell
I'd like more "Legal Left on Red" signs posted.
The first rule of left on
The first rule of left on red is we don’t talk about left on red!
His name is Brent Jeffries
I finally saw it a couple of weeks ago. Can you believe it took me 25 years?
As if
They ever warn you to watch out for ice around here.
