Boston Police report arresting a Roslindale man for breaking into a residence at 163 Beacon St. in the Back Bay shortly after 11 a.m. yesterday - with the help of a witness who followed the guy onto Newbury Street. Police say they recovered a laptop, a number of CDs and a screwdriver.
Over in Dorchester, meanwhile, police say a woman politely said "let me get your earings," before robbing another woman of an earring and a cellphone yesterday afternoon at 330 Bowdoin St. The suspect was only charged with unarmed robbery, so presumably the earring was not actually in the victim's ear.

yes innocent until proven guilty... and both were caught red handed with stolen property so I think we can anticipate they'll choose to save taxpayers the cost of a jury trial.
