it's my birthday and I'll die if I want to
You can get shot dead attending your own birthday party. Maybe the mayor will try to do more about it now that it's hitting closer to home.
What would you have him do?

TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT GUN VIOLENCE IN BOSTON
Instead of spewing low crime stats for Part I crimes that don't include the l53+ non fatal shootings and the 427 guns taken off the streets this year(they're Part II crimes)-TELLING THE TRUTH. Gun violence has increased in Hyde Park, not decreased. 40 years ago, no one was being gunned down in HP streets or inside their homes. Seniors and pregnant women weren't dodging bullets inside their homes.
Instead of relying on ministers to reduce gun violence, he should be seeking the assistance of any and all state and federal law enforcement agencies to stop gun violence, bc despite BPD best efforts, it just ain't happenin! His vanity and lack of vision jeopardizes residents safety. If he cared so much, he'd have had Shotspotter installed on Cummins Hwy where murder and gun violence have substantially increased since his 2005 proclamation, during an election year, that crime again was at an all time low. False then, and false now.
Menino won't do anything to
Menino won't do anything to stop the crime in our city. I'd be curious to see how many shootings were in front of his precious home over the years or close to his home. I bet you wouldn't find one.
