Shots fired in Dorchester; man arrested
Boston Police report that officers on patrol near the area of the Ashmont T stop around 12:40 a.m. on Saturday heard gunfire from the area of Fuller and Washington streets:
Once there, officers observed two individuals walking away from the scene. While monitoring and watching these individuals, officers observed one of the individuals, later identified as Johnnie Bonnie, clutch at his waist area in such a way as if to suggest he was in possession of a firearm.
A pat frisk revealed a loaded gun in his waist area, police say.
Bonnie, 22, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition carrying a loaded weapon on a public way.
He was already facing charges for a May car chase involving a stolen Randolph school van that ended with Bonnie and seven other people allegedly running through Roslindale Square - and even atop an auto-supply store - before being captured. In 2011, he was charged with participating in a beating and stabbing at Park and Tremont streets.
Innocent, etc.
