Police: After gunfire, teen arrested with loaded gun
Boston Police report arresting a 16-year-old after a cop on a walking beat in the area of Blue Hill Avenue and Johnston Road heard gunfire, then saw two guys running from the scene, around 7:40 p.m. Tuesday.
The officer pursued the suspects on foot, but to no avail. Responding officers canvassed the area and recovered two firearms, a black Berretta .40 caliber handgun and a black Colt revolver, on the ground in the area of 7 Wilcock Street.
Approximately ten minutes later, officers stopped a male fitting the description of the suspects in close proximity to the crime scene. Upon performing a pat frisk of this subject, officers recovered a loaded black Ruger P95 firearm from his pant leg.
The suspect, 16, was charged with being delinquent because of illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of a loaded firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.

Why doesn't any illegal gun possession by a minor get legislated into an adult offense automatically? Where's the legislature and governor on this?
